My beautiful roses always bloom in May. I planted them on June 2015 after my grandmother's passing. On May 2014 one of my aunts passed away, my grandmother told me that year that she bought white roses for my aunt's funeral, that always stayed on my mind. The next year in 2015, my grandmother passed away at the beginning of summer. I remembered the memory about the white roses for her daughter and I thought about doing something similar in memory of my grandmother. I found these pale pink white roses and planted them in my garden. They remind me of my grandmother's and aunt's passing, but they also remind me that life continues even after they're gone from this realm. ❤ #thepointofconvergence #lapotosinawrites #potosinablogger #whiterose #gardenersofinstagram #tributetomygrandmother #tributetomyaunt #flowersofinstagram #teextrañoabuelita #mygarden #palepinkrose #rose

My Mother's Day gift 😊💖 My daughter made this in class, wheatgrass pots decorated by her, along with this pretty card. She just made my day yesterday when she came home with it! I was feeling under the weather and she had this in her hand and my heart just melted with love!!! It's these little homemade gifts that we, Moms will cherish forever. Happy Mother's Day! 🥰❤💐 #thepointofconvergence #lapotosinawrites #potosinablogger #mothersday #felizdiadelasmadres #happymothersday #teamomija #thankful #grateful #homemadegifts #mothersgifts #plantgifts

Learning about corn 🌽 and how the Powhatans used to grind corn using this mortal and pestle. The last picture is of a tree called Sassafras. It is a native tree from Virginia and to Eastern North America. The Native Americans used infusions made from the root bark as a remedy to treat fevers, diarrhea, and rheumatism. It was also used to scent perfume and even as a flavoring for root beer decades ago. #thepointofconvergence #lapotosinawrites #potosinablogger #powhatan #virginia #virginianativeamericans #huntleymeadows #corngrinding #corndarts #sassafras #sassafrastree #powhatanhistory
