I know it's not Day of the Dead yet until November 2nd 🏵 My daughter had a multicultural event at her school and she represented Mexico 🇲🇽 she took the opportunity to share about 🏵 Día de los Muertos 🏵 a special holiday in Mexico to remember the ones we love who are no longer with us. I volunteered to make Pan de Muerto from scratch. This is the second time I try to make it and this time was a success!!! I followed a great recipe from a YouTube cook named @jaujacocinamexicana and all I have to say is that this will be my new favorite Pan de Muerto recipe! 🥰 The process was long as I had to prep, proof, and knead the dough for like 40 minutes, the whole process took about 9 hours, but it was worth it. This bread was a sensation at the multicultural event and everyone loved it! #thepointofconvergence #lapotosinawrites #potosinablogger #pandemuerto #jaujacocinamexicana #diadelosmuertos #breadofthedead #diademuertos #makingbread #pandulce #mexicanbread #breadlover
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. I recently read about a study conducted in people who spent about 20 minutes a day outdoors, even if it's just being outside looking at nature reduces stress and anxiety. Last month I went to El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico, one of my favorite places to visit. I found useful information at el Yunque that confirms that being outside and connecting with nature can help alleviate stress, anxiety and mood swings. I definitely can agree with this. Being outside helps me calm my anxiety and stress. There's something powerful about being with nature. I find myself more calm after a nature walk or just sitting at a garden admiring its beauty. 🌳🌿🌷💚 #thepointofconvergence #lapotosinawrites #potosinablogger #elyunque #natureheals #nature #getoutside #elyunquenationalforest #calm #meditation

Happy Mother's Day! I'm having a good time with my family 🥰 Enjoying my 5-year old homemade gifts from kindergarten 💖 These are the best years for Mom and Dad, when they bring home their gifts and you are the most important person in their lives! God let me enjoy this moment! 🥰❤ #thepointofconvergence #lapotosinawrites #potosinablogger #mothersday #diadelasmadres #mothersgifts #teamomija #homemadegifts #grateful #thankful #strawberrycupcakes #mothersdaygifts
